News:
Students of art and IT who have an eye
for animation can have a peek into
what the field has in store for them.
The Mahratta Chamber of Commerce,
Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA),
the apex body of industries in the
Pune region, will organise an
animation workshop in Pune, where
students can get a chance to interact
with the companies in gaming and
animation industry.
Anand
Khandekar, director, Nvidia, Pune
centre and chairman, animation and
gaming committee, MCCIA, said, “This
is our campaign to create awareness
about the animation industry. There
are a lot of avenues that this
industry has opened up. We want the
young generation to have a look at it
and take it up as a career.
We
will have programmes like drawing and
acting workshops, gaming corners and
demos in animation techniques. Acting
workshops are important for animators
because that will help them develop
emotionally believable characters in
their animations and games,” he said.
The workshop will be jointly organised
by art organisation and the
Association of International Du Film
D’ Animation (ASIFA).
