made in Singur is being fulfilled in Pune.
Months after shifting the Nano plant out of
Singur, Tata Motors has resumed the training
of 180 youths it had selected from the
families whose land the West Bengal
Government had acquired for the project. |

Pune institute told to refund fee |

Pune News: UT Consumer
Forum has directed Indian Institute of
E-Business Management, Pune, to refund
course fee of Rs 65,918 within 30 days
along with Rs 2,000 as litigation expenses
to Janak Arora of Mandi Gobindgarh. Arora?s
daughter Sabina got admission in master of
e-business administration in March 2007.
Accordingly, she joined the course in July
2007 but owing to her illness, she had to
leave the institution in September 2007. She
was advised complete bed rest and avoidance
of studies, the complaint stated. |

UB Group to set up a winotherapy and spa
resort in Pune |

report in the Financial Chronicle, UB Group
is in the process of introducing a
winotherapy and spa venture. The group has
initiated talks with several leading hotel
chains to operate the wine resort to be set
up in Baramati, Pune. The group has already
launched premium wines under its Four

for the Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad Municipal
Corporation elections held here on Sunday. A
state election office press release issued
here today said that in the Bhor Municipal
Council election in Pune district, the
voters turn out was 80 per cent. The
counting of votes for Bhor Municipal Council
will take place tomorrow. The election for
seven wards in Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad will take
place on June 30. |

Corporation’s land acquisition department
has created a record of sorts by acquiring
as much as 6.15 lakh square meter land in
one year (2007-08). This is much more that
the 4.76 lakh square metre of land acquired
by the civic body during the four-year

the number of properties acquired, 159 were
acquired in the four-year period and 421 in

Couple found dead in Pune |

Pune News: Twenty-year-old Devi
Shingade, who was pregnant, and her husband
Nilesh (27) were found dead under mysterious
circumstances in their house at Kharalwadi
in Pimpri on early Monday morning. Prima
facie the Pimpri police suspect it to be a
case of suicide. Nilesh's father, Narayan
and his brother Shrinivas rushed them to a
nearby private nursing home, which referred
the case to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial
Hospital (YCMH). The authorities at YCMH
pronounced the couple as 'brought dead'. |
